Kickstarter Project Launched for High Score 3rd Edition

Industry Veteran, Writer, Friend, and someone who I’ve had the distinct honor and priviledge to be mentored by; Rusel DeMaria. Rusel has launched a Kickstarter Project today to help fund the research and development for a new, 3rd Edition of his successful and well written Video Game history book “High Score: The Illustrated History of Electronic Games“. The 2nd edition has been out of print for a while now, but as Rusel states in on his Kickstarter Page, he has secured a new publisher and is now preparing to start working on a brand new iteration, expanding and building on the first two editions and bringing things up to date especially in the new gaming frontier of 2000 to 2011.

The funding goal as stated on the Kickstarter page is $25,000 which will go a long way to helping Rusel take the 4-6 projected months to really work and develop the book including travel to rummage around through the archives of the industry looking for treasures and great stories to include. Of course as with any Kickstarter, there is a list of donation reward tiers and some of them are absolutely fabulous. Ranging from signed copies of the book to diner with industry icons such as David Perry, John Romero, and Will Wright!

For now, check out Rusel’s pitch video from the Kickstarter page and maybe make a donation to fund something worthwhile and will  help share some of this industries history.

Now then, you can drop some coin on the Kickstarter Page or show some love by hitting “Like” on the High Score 3 Facebook Page
