Kalimba is a side-scrolling platformer in which players control mirrored pairs of mystical totems to overcome challenging tests of precision coordination and movement in either single-player or two-person local co-op. Coming to life in a colorful trixelated art style, the adventure features multiple characters with varied powers, climactic boss battles and high score leaderboards. Kalimba supports both gamepad and keyboard controls on PC.
Press Play has released two new pieces of DLC for Kalimba on Xbox One and PC: “Dark Void,” which brings 10 new single-player stages to the game, and “Co-Optimistic,” which adds 10 new cooperative levels. Both sets are now available on the Xbox Games Store and Steam for $3.99 each or $5.99 as a bundle. As a bonus, all DLC will be completely free on Xbox One for the first 2 weeks, until May 6.
Furthermore, Press Play has added two new competitive multiplayer game modes to Kalimba in a free content update out now on Xbox One and PC. Llama Mode lets up to six people compete locally through special speed run challenges. Puma Mode features 30 levels in which players can race asynchronously against the fastest times of their friends or the AI-controlled Hoebear.
Kalimba is now available for $9.99 on Xbox One through the Xbox Games Store and Windows PC via Steam. This game is rated E (Everyone) by the ESRB.
