Well PS3 gamers have been in an uproar and spreading rumors ever since GDC when Epic Games President, Mike Capps stated that he “would love to bring Gears to PS3”. Well Epic Games Design Director, Cliff Bleszinski released a statement at E3 stating “I would say in the foreseeable future there’s zero chances of Gears of War being on the PlayStation 3. Can we bury that now? When asked about Capps previous statement, Cliff countered with “it simply makes for a good news story.”
From previous statements he has made in the past, we all know that Cliff despises the dual shock controller. So for Sony to ever have a chance of getting a Gears game on their system they would need to make a new controller. Since we don’t see this happening until they announce a new system, PS3 fans will have to keep wishing for Epic to change their mind or go out and get an Xbox 360 to play the games.
Cliff also wanted to clear up the rumor that this isn’t the last Gears of War game, its just the last of the trilogy. The franchise is still going on and there will most likely be more Gears games in the future.
