Asmodee Digital and Sony Interactive Entertainment are partnering to bring “Ticket to Ride,” the critically-acclaimed railway-themed board game from Days of Wonder, to PlayLink for PS4 later this year.
“Digital board games are a natural fit for Sony PlayLink, and bring the tradition of board game nights to PlayStation gamers,” Pierre Ortolan, Asmodee Digital’s CEO, said. “By casting the game to a phone screen, players can hide their hands and plan their moves without revealing everything to their opponents. PlayLink allows us re-create the traditional board game experience while keeping the benefits of playing digitally. We are honored to have partnered with Sony Interactive Entertainment and look forward to sharing ‘Ticket to Ride’ with PlayStation gamers.”
Asmodee Digital launched Catan VR in partnership with Experiment 7 in March 2018, bringing digital board games to VR for the first time, and in April, they announced an original video game set in the Lovecraftian Mansions of Madness universe. Bringing Ticket to Ride to PlayStation 4 with PlayLink continues Asmodee Digital’s vision of evolving the digital board game experience while expanding to new platforms and audiences.
