Paradox Interactive, a publisher and developer of digital entertainment and an advocate for growth (urban, gaming, and otherwise), today announced that “Snowfall,” a weather-focused expansion for Cities: Skylines, will be released on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles, as well as on Windows 10. Owners of either Cities: Skylines – Xbox One Edition, Cities: Skylines – PlayStation 4 Edition or Cities: Skylines – Windows 10 Edition will be able to add a flurry of features to their games with Snowfall, including a new set of special “Winter” maps which challenge mayors to keep the roads clear and the neighborhoods warm when the weather gets rough — along with streetcars for new public transit options. Snowfall, which will be available on both consoles on November 14, 2017, will be the first of several expansions and additions coming to consoles in the near future.

Paradox has also announced that Snowfall, which is the first expansion coming to the Xbox One Edition, PlayStation 4 Edition and Windows 10 Edition, will also be included in Cities: Skylines – Season Pass and Cities: Skylines – Premium Edition, two comprehensive packages which will enable mayor-players to collect a complete set of expansions and additions to the award-winning Cities: Skylines experience. Seven items will be included in the Season Pass, while the Premium Edition will also include the base Cities: Skylines game, offering an excellent chance for new players to try the best-selling management title. Players who purchase either bundle will gain immediate access to each piece of DLC as they become available on their respective platforms.

Both the Season Pass and Premium Edition will include:

  • Snowfall (full expansion)
  • Natural Disasters (full expansion)
  • Mass Transit (full expansion)
  • High Tech Buildings (content creator pack)
  • Art Deco (content creator pack)
  • Relaxation Station (radio station DLC)
  • Rock City Radio (radio station DLC)

Snowfall is an expansion for Cities: Skylines, the award-winning management game that puts you in control of a growing metropolis. In Snowfall, your city can be covered in snow or glisten in the rain with in-game weather – which adds new challenges as well. Add snowplows to clear your streets, and help citizens keep warm in the storm with city-wide heating systems. New public transit options also help residents get across your city, rain or shine.

Snowfall includes:

  • Now is the Winter of This Content: Rain and fog for existing maps, plus a “Winter” map theme with snow and new challenges – snowplows, road maintenance, and more
  • The Streetcars You Desire: New public transit options, including street trams and easier management of existing lines
  • World Warmth, Too: Cold weather increases demands for electricity, unless new heat systems are in place

Snowfall will be available for a suggested retail price of $12.99 on November 14 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows 10. The Season Pass will be available for a suggested retail price of $39.99 and Cities: Skylines – Premium Edition, which includes the original game and all Season Pass content, will be available for a suggested retail price of $69.99.

About Cities: Skylines
Cities: Skylines – PlayStation 4 & Xbox One Edition puts you in charge of a growing city – from the ground-breaking of its first streets to the ever-changing needs of thousands of citizens. Design, build, and manage the city of your dreams, from public services to civic policies, and challenge yourself to grow from a simple town to a bustling metropolitan hub.

Main Features
Build the city of your dreams: Plan road networks, bus lines and parks. Bring on a smog-filled industrial revolution or create a quiet beach town ideal for tourists powered by renewable energy. Bring education, healthcare and safety to your citizens. Build it your way!

Multi-tiered and challenging simulation: Playing as the mayor of your city, you’ll be faced with balancing essential requirements such as education, water electricity, police, firefighting, healthcare and much more, along with your city’s economy. Citizens within your city react fluidly, keeping you on your toes with ever-evolving demands.

Extensive local traffic simulation: Managing traffic and the needs of your citizens to work and play will require the use of several interactive transport systems – use careful road planning alongside buses, trains, subways, and much more.

Districts and policies: Be more than just another city hall official! Create a car-free downtown area, assign free public transport to your waterfront, or ban pets in suburbia. Designate parts of your city as a district in order to set policy at the local level, and give different parts of town their own personalities.

After Dark included: Watch your city become an entirely different place at night: a day-night cycle will have your citizens seeking out places to unwind after work. Add in new policies and zones to create popular hotspots and provide enough taxis and trains to get to and from the clubs!
