Kickstarter has really helped to get a bunch of new projects going through crowd funding, and many of these projects have been a delight to learn about. Often, either via email, Twitter, or some other form of social media, I am informed about a new game or device that is being funded on Kickstarter and am asked to take a look at it and, if I believe it to be worthwhile, help get the word out. So, recently Bumblebee Games contacted me via Twitter to tell me about “Days of Dawn,” a new RPG they are developing for MAC and Windows (with future ports coming to iOS and Android) that has a great artistic style to it. I have to admit, I absolutely love the hand-drawn, painterly look that this game invokes, and it brings back great memories of PS1 classics like “Legend of Mana.”
There is still a good while left to donate to this project, but they have a long way to go before they reach their goal. The swag you can get for helping them is pretty nice, so I highly recommend you head to their Kickstarter page and take a look!
