Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announces the launch today of Midway Arcade Origins, a collection of Midway titles from the golden age of arcades. Available for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, the compilation offers more than 30 classic titles on a single disc, priced at $29.99.
New players can experience the seminal classics, while longtime fans of classic arcade games can re-master their favorite titles with new PlayStation Network Trophies and Xbox 360 Achievements support. Players will also be able to enjoy many games with up to three of their friends in local, co-op multiplayer and post their high scores online.
The collection offers genre-defining favorites, including Defender, Gauntlet, Joust, Rampage, and Total Carnage, as well as 720°, A.P.B., Arch Rivals, Bubbles, Championship Sprint, Tournament Cyberball 2072, Defender II, Gauntlet II, Joust 2, Marble Madness, Pit-Fighter, Rampart, Robotron 2084, Root Beer Tapper, Satan’s Hollow, Sinistar, Smash TV, Spy Hunter, Spy Hunter II, Super Off Road, Super Sprint, Toobin’, Vindicators Part II, Wizard of Wor, Xenophobe, and Xybots.
